Job Description Aesop seeks a dedicated Store Manager to oversee our St James Store in Edinburgh. The successful applicant will have flexible availability. This is a full-time position and you will be required to work 5 days per week.
Purpose of the role -
The Store Manager is responsible for managing the operation of the store to maximize results and the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), whilst ensuring the team are engaged and fulfilling their duties to the required standard. They recruit and lead the team, allocate tasks, coach performance and build motivation. They foster a strong sense of teamwork and openness, in line with Aesop’s culture and values. They are responsible for the delivery of the Aesop brand and experience to customers to a consistently high standard.
The Edinburgh Saint James Store provides an exciting opportunity with the beautiful addition of a Facial Treatment Space. This element advantageously offers a unique complexity to driving result and allows the space to truly displaying Aesop’s service expectations and to establish further the integrity of the Skincare brand.
To be successful, you will have -
- 2-4 years of management experience in retail as Manager or Assistant Manager
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive results
- The confidence to sell products requiring specialist knowledge
- A willingness to embrace demonstration-based sales techniques
- Commercial acumen – demonstrated experience in driving business KPI’s, staff planning, inventory etc.
- Excellent communication skills and merchandising abilities – including the capacity to converse warmly and effortlessly with customers
- Computer literacy encompassing strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
- Deep affinity of the Aesop brand and its values
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
