Erpingham House are now recruiting a full time Chef de Partie at our new restaurant in Edinburgh. I deal candidate will have experience working within a busy restaurant and have a good understand on how a kitchen runs in a professional manner.
As plant-based dining becomes more popular, opening this concept was a way for us to evolve the Erpingham house brand, and in doing so ensure we were able to reflect the area we are in. Edinburgh has a unique, creative & vibrant energy we wanted to capture with the approach, so we’ve developed our initial concept & have created something new for the city. With a strong plant-based heritage, Erpingham House Edinburgh aims to help further the world’s adoption of more plant-based foods, and as a result a more conscious lifestyle. Our Edinburgh site will be a slightly different take on our two current restaurants. St James Quarter will be an elevated high end concession food hall concept located in the shopping center providing exceptional fresh food standards throughout.
Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section - Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes - Prepping for the day ahead - Assisting with the management of health and safety - Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices - Managing and training any Commis Chefs - Monitoring portion and waste control - Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards. - Knowledge and ability to run a section - Ability to work without close supervision - Ability to manage Commis Chefs - Ability to produce good quality food in all sections. - Team management skills - High level of attention to detail
