What is FUSE?

FUSE Edinburgh is the official training and recruitment partner of St James Quarter and wider Business Development District. FUSE was created to connect people in Edinburgh with careers in retail and hospitality, and to help employers find the right people to fill them.

What We Do For You

Whether you’re just starting out, returning to work, or ready for something new, FUSE is here to help you take the next step.

We offer free, one-to-one support to help you feel confident and prepared for roles in retail and hospitality. That includes help with CVs, interview preparation, applications and access to training that builds real skills.

FUSE is based at St James Quarter.

Personalised Support 

You’ll work with someone who takes time to understand your goals, experience and what you want from a job. No pressure, no judgment, just help that fits you.

CV and Interview Guidance

We’ll help you write or improve your CV, practise answering interview questions and feel more confident when meeting employers.

Live Vacancies and Employer Connections 

We work closely with hiring managers and brand leads. They trust us to send them people who are prepped, professional and ready to work. That means we know exactly what they’re looking for and what they expect from new staff, and we’ll help you get there.

Access to Training 

We offer free training sessions to help you feel job-ready. These cover everything from customer service to confidence building, leadership, neurodiversity awareness and more.

Ongoing Support 

Once you’ve started work, we stay in touch. If something isn’t going smoothly or you want to progress further, we’re here to help you keep moving forward.

Our Talent Bank

Our Talent Bank is a proactive tool designed to reduce staff turnover and accelerate hiring by matching employers with career-ready, locally-supported applicants.

The Talent Bank benefits both Employers and Job Seekers. For Employers the benefits are pre-vetted candidates, training pathways, visibility across SJQ events and channels. For Job Seekers the Talent Bank ensures their skills and experience are getting the maximum exposure across all the brands in the St James Quarter.
